MINUTES                
REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
July 2, 2012                                                                                                  

A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, July 2, 2012, in the City Hall Auditorium.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Weaver, Members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees' Retirement Fund Gregg Cogswell, Paul Samele, Elinor Carbone, Gerald Zordan, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron, Raymond Drew, Delisse Locher, Nancy Michna, John Schnyer, Mark Kugler, City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, City Clerk Joseph Quartiero and Mayoral Aide Timothy Waldron.  Members Aldo Alduini and Gail Sartori were absent.
 
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.  
 
MINUTES
On a motion by Councilor Zordan, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held April 2, 2012.

On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund on May 7, 2012.  Councilor Waldron abstained.

PENSION COMPUTATION:  P. Dubourg
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to  accept the pension computation for Philip Dubourg, Custodian for the City of Torrington, effective July 1, 2012, after completing 10 years of service, with 3 years of  military buy-back time for a total of 13 years.  Mrs. Locher asked for a clarification that the preceding special agreement only affected Mr. Dubourg's eligibility, not his computation.  Mayor Bingham assured her that the vote is only on the accuracy of the computation.
PENSION COMPUTATION:  L. Cardillo
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for  Linda Cardillo, former Senior Account Clerk for the City of Torrington City Clerk's Department, effective January 6, 2006, after completing 5  years of service, and after she reached age 65 on June 7,2012.

BUSINESS
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees.  No business was presented.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:12 p.m.
